The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3), offers a full-time research assistant position in order to support the development of the work of the research team in BC3 in its contribution to the URBASO project. The objective will be to understand the multiple values, motivations and emotional geographies of the main stakeholders in the Biosphere Reserve of Urdaibai (Basque Country).
The European LIFE project URBASO explores forest-based solutions for surface drinking water protection, biodiversity, bioeconomy and climate resilience. URBASO intends to demonstrate that careful planning and proper forest management of the areas upstream of the surface drinking water catchments from the registry of protected areas of the European Water Framework Directive, can maintain a high quality raw water yield. See the video for a description of the scientific partners of the project.
