The GEZKI Institute and Ekopol Research Group from UPV/EHU have organised a course on energy communities in June.

Description

There are multiple and different approaches to energy communities and even the European Union also makes a definition of energy communities through its directives.

For the time being, European regulations have not been fully implemented in the legislation of either the Spanish State or the Basque Country. It seems that the Social Economy may have something to say on this issue, especially when there are already energy community initiatives led by Social Economy entities.

In this context, while European regulations are being transposed and initiatives/experiences are being developed, it is a particularly propitious moment for reflection and debate.
